PERSONALITY
Appearance: diya has a rather elegant figure, with delicate features that seem to completely contradict her not at all elegant personality. with the majority of her genes being of the maine coon breed, she is much larger than most other cats her age, with rather long and fluffy fur. she also has a surprisingly strong and muscular build along with long legs, which all contribute to her being very physically fit. diya is primarily several different shades of brown, with different variations on different parts of her body. her chest, underbelly, paws and splotches on her muzzle are snow white, which stand out from the rest of her fur. she has darker tabby markings, which are mainly noticeable on her face and legs. her eyes are a pale yellowish-green, and her whiskers are long and white. she is deaf in her right ear due to an ear infection she got at a couple months old.
General Description: diya is one of the biggest sweethearts one could get to know. she is a gentle soul at heart, and despite easily getting nervous and awkward with those she doesn't know very well, she will always eagerly try to help others in any way that she can. around strangers, she tends to be rather quiet and is more of a listener and follower than a talker or leader. but when she's around friends, she comes out of her shell a bit, and will do everything in her power to make sure her loved ones are happy, even if it means putting herself in a bad place. when it comes to romantic interests, they have been absent for most of diya's life, and will only come up when she falls for a girl for the first time and realizes her sexuality. a hopeless romantic at heart, diya dreams of the day that she can settle down with someone who loves her as much as she loves them. diya also gets flustered very easily, and can be reduced to a stammering mess with very little effort, whether the cause was a compliment or insult or innuendo or anything in between.

HISTORY
born and was the only one to survive, health still not great so she got ear infection which has lead to her being deaf in her right ear, family met another family who also had only one kitten survive, families had diya and noelle hang out with each other since they didnt have siblings and they grew extremely close.
one day diya stumbled across the festival of love while not with her parents, met min there (who probably ordered her to meet her at the patria border), started meeting at the patria border, became super close within three/four months they knew each other (maybe diya started to have unknown feelings for her ?!?!?1?), homophobic parents found out their daughter was hanging out with strange not girly cat from gay colony, promptly decided they were moving away from the colonies along with noelle's family.
diya sad bc she doesnt have min, but she has noelle still so thats p cool she guesses. kind of forgets about min for a while since its been so long, but eventually she decides to leave to join patria, part bc she's gay for min (doesnt know it yet) but also bc she thought colony life was interesting. parents dont approve but let her go anyway so long as she visits them from time to time. noelle joins her bc bffs stick together yknow.
so now diya part of patria, wonders if min is still here or even remembers her, and is nervous but excited to see her again. has been assigned to a lot of patrols with another cat akarsha, thinks shes kinda annoying but also seems cool and would like to get to know her better. still has bff.
