Nova was born to Maybel. The father of Nova is unknown. Nova had three siblings, but they were stillborn. Nova's mother loved her dearly for the short time she spent with her, as just a few days after she was born, Maybel passed away from an unknown cause. Alone and with no family, Nova was taken in by a lesbian couple who desperately wanted kits of their own, raising her and teaching her the skills she needed to survive in Soror.
