Amber sat quietly on the deck of the cottage, staring out at the lush, green woodland. As much as she was trying to let it sort out itself, the thought continued to linger in the back of her mind. Amber's ears twitched, she tried to just not think about it, but the more she did the worse it got, and at that point, Amber was just fighting an internal battle within herself.
The young molly sighed. She definitely needed someone to talk to... but who? Amber knew that everyone just saw her just as 'The Physician's Tenderfoot,' or that's what she believed anyway. Who was a cat that really cared for her, that looked after her? Amber thought maybe Jackal wouldn't mind talking to her, but the molly wouldn't want Amber wasting her time talking about something non-medicine-related. Honestly Amber didn't know, but she didn't want to take any chances.
The ginger cat thought for a bit more, then a cat came to her mind. Mother! I can talk to mother! Of course, why didn't I think of that before? She thought. Amber was frustrated with the fact that she didn't think of her mother earlier. After all, Seraph was the cat who had cared for her, raised her, loved her. Maybe it was now that Amber was no longer a tiny newborn, she didn't really need milk and constant supervising, all the things that came with being a kitten. Amber was always helping out with the herbs and everything... maybe she just hadn't found the time. She would be more than happy to talk to me, plus now that she's retired, she has all the time in the world!
Padding gleefully, Amber searched all the rooms in the cottage, peeking her head into each one until she saw Seraph. Spotting her, the tenderfoot scrambled up to her mother, burying her face into her fluffy chest fur. "Mother!" Amber mewed happily, purring.
Notes: Sorry for making this thread later than I had planned!
