The air was just cool enough for the tenderfoot to faintly see her own breath. Amber yawned, licking her muzzle. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a splitting image of bright oranges, pinks and shades of blue over the horizon. The cold, morning dew made her paws wet and cold, but she knew soon enough it would heat up, and the fields would be bursting with warmth, yet again.
Amber was tired, but really didn't mind getting up early if it was for some herb-picking, as it was one of her favourite activities to do, by far. Besides, it was what she did after all. Amber could never imagine being anything else other than a Physician. Everything else just seemed, stressing and overall not appealing. Amber was glad she was a younger, far down the line royal, aka never going to take the throne. She could just image herself drowning in responsibility and stress. Not that being Physician didn't have responsibilities, but the kinds of things expected from a Physician Amber knew she could pull off with enough hard work and dedication. Planning an attack? Never in the world. Picking herbs in the beautiful, peaceful flower fields? That's more like it!
The tenderfoot followed the ginger molly closely behind, Jackal, aiding her in collecting the plants needed. She gazed at the plants surrounding her... There were always so many in the flower fields, all so wonderfully unique. She thought of picking some right now, but she didn't know if that's what they were here for. Amber blinked, then frowned. What were they here for? Amber had almost slapped herself. She forgot! Catching up to Jackal, Amber meowed, a guilty smile on her face. "Umm Jackal... what were we here for again?"
